Re: Looking for some processed WVO in Vancouver or Squamish!

Our Pump and Filter system is capable of onboard filtering through a 1 micron bag filter housing, at about 4 litres per minute. Pump is 12v. Fairly compact. One family used it in a Delica all around USA and Canada.

Ok, so it's a Hilux, not a Delica... but...

I heard from one of the earliest PlantDrive (originally Neoteric Biofuels) customers today, up in northern Alberta.
About 10 years on WVO on a late 80's Hilux! In Northern Alberta.
All the originally conversion kits parts are still in use.

Re: Of course veg system idle is slower

The veg is also more viscous and you are pulling it through a fairly long fuel line. Larger diameter, and heating, help, but it's still thicker than diesel. Anyway, not arguing your point here, but if you see idle drop more than 50, and are bothered by it, you can always adjust the idle up a little....

Re: Lower mainland/Van Isld Veg/Canola OIL PRICES beat the p

Hi all...has anyone checked the price of new Canola at Costco versus Lower Mainland (and Kamloops!!) diesel lately? Saw 150.9 in Kamloops the other day... ouch! BTW, lots o' cubies of WVO sitting and settling here in Salmon Arm, ready to be run through the 1 micron filter. More than I can use. Just ...

Re: Hydraforce valve issues

Best to dismantle them or any other solenoid and give everything a good soak and clean in diesel *before* you store them unused. But, if they have seized up from a period of being laid up, because that wasn't done, then do the above, but use biodiesel to soak and clean them. Don't soak the actual ma...

Re: Who runs on WVO in the Prairies?

Hi David - hey, someone contacted Torie about a Deli and a Pajero, and he contacted me because one of his kids accidentally deleted the message on his answering machine before he got the fellows number written down....would this be the same guy? If so, could you ask him to contact Torie again? Also,...

Re: Yet Another L400 Conversion

Hi all....been a while since I have been on here, nice to see some familiar names still here. We include plastic reducers in our kits for this purpose...Chris, *if* you are going to go to a looped return instead of return to tank, I would change that fitting, I would not clamp 3/8" down to a sm...

Re: please help troubleshoot!

Start cold engine. Hold one hand on one side of the heat exchanger, on the heater hose, and other hand on other hose. Wait. First one that gets warm is the "from engine" If other one does not get warm right away after, almost as fast, you have a flow issue through the high point, which I b...

Re: please help troubleshoot!

RE: coolant leaving exchanger hotter than going in. First, are you positive you have the flow direction correct? How do you know? -- If it really is doing that, then maybe the glow plug is adding heat to the coolant better than to the fuel. This could happen if the fuel is moving nicely and at high ...

Re: Second Time Injection Pump Replacement. Culprit: WVO (?)

Surging at idle is typically caused by insufficient delivery of fuel and stalling as you return to idle (coming up to a stop sign) is usually air. Plugged filter, air leaks, too small a line, a return not looped, etc. can all contribute. But if everything is done the way I suggest, Delicas will pull...

Re: Second Time Injection Pump Replacement. Culprit: WVO (?)

Hi again - thank for your kind words....another year, we're still here, now 11 years in business! Tank/Return to tank: Yes, the tank heats up eventually buy in the meantime acts as a giant heat sink. So unless it is about -10C or less, you don't need a tank heater operating. With a looped return, yo...

Re: Second Time Injection Pump Replacement. Culprit: WVO (?)

1. true, no in tank heater Ok so when you are returning to tank, you are sending your barely-heated oil back there, and losing all your heat along the way, and mostly losing heat into the tank of oil. It's a big heat sink. Should be using a looped return. More on this below. 2. its a 25u water separ...

Re: Second Time Injection Pump Replacement. Culprit: WVO (?)

Reviewed some of your install posts that I believe are this van? Is the following correct? Also some questions... 1) No in-tank heater. 2) Fram or similar filter with a coil of tubing around it, for a heated filter (no water separator, and not likely a water-absorbing filter media?) What is the part...
