Locate the Recreation Site

It seems like the Covid-19 has given me more time to review old trips and I've found some more Rec Sites worth passing on. As all of the Rec Sites are now closed to camping and quite a few are closed period this may be all I'll have for some time. Hopefully Kevin or Wayne or anyone with camping or f...

Locate the Recreation Site

Horn Lake is my site of the month. It may be very appropriate this year as it is miles from anywhere and you could camp without fear of Covid-19. (I wrote this info on Horn lake in early March but was unable to post it. Now that I can I've checked and Horn Lake is now close due to Covid-19 as are a ...

Locate the Recreation Site

I found a lake I went to last year and forgot about it until reorganizing my site info. I should have remembered as it's the only time last year my daughter and her dog went fishing with me. It's no small feat to have 2 people and a 100# dog in a 10' boat. Lodgepole is a small lake south of Kamloops...

Is it possible to prevent a head being cracked?

I read with interest your radiator info sck_nogas . I also had to check out the web site. They have a lot of nice looking things like the intercooler system. Great find Thanks.. :-)

ReCasting Bushings with Polyurethane

Now that you've had a few days to test them do they 'feel' much different from the units you replaced?

My first contribution this year is Face Lake. I haven't been to it for a few years but it is normally a nice quite place for day fishing from Kamloops. Face Lake is a high elevation lake ( 5200' ) which has a few cabins and the Mile High Resort on it. It is about 20 km from the Logan Lake exit on Hw...

On board compressor for air shocks.

I took one of the plastic nuts to CT and used their bolt board to figure out what happened. Didn't help much as 7/16 is not a very common size. The EBay item looks like it could save quite a bit of work or looking. Thanks for the help!!

On board compressor for air shocks.

Growler I've got a question on the threads used on the shock. You've made a block with 7/8" x 20 tpi threads on one end and 1/8" NPT on the other. What are these tpi threads and would a tap for that be easy to find in Canada? I'd like to use something more standard if I add a compressor later. Thank...

Air adjustable shock absorbers

I just found out Rock Auto has these and I ordered a pair shipped to Kamloops for $112 CAD including duty, which I'm really happy about. Even supposed to be here before Xmas.

Oldest (site time ) active member

I was reviewing my friends list the other day and realized 2 things: 1: A lot of the friends don't appear to be active anymore. 2: I joined in Nov. 2008 and always thought it was 2009. I guess I've had my van for 11 years not 10 as I thought. It made me curious how may of the ' initial members ' are...

Locate the Recreation Site

My last lake of the year is Cochin Lake located in the Cariboo-Chilcotin. I've had to start using sites from the reserves again as it's getting harder to find nice sites I haven't reviewed close to Kamloops. It would be great if anyone has a few sites they would like to add whether they are Rec site...

I noticed you posted with a dry Inclinometer. They are not hard to fix if it was like mine. Simply take the unit apart and refill with mineral oil. There is usually a crack in the flexible back you can coat with permatex gasket sealer. I used an orange color. it's been good for 10 years. Also check ...

Locate the Recreation Site

I had to include this site even though it is quite a distance from southern BC. It is located about 150 km north of Dease Lake or about 115 km south of Watson Lake, Yukon. Anyone that has been to Boya lake knows why. It has to be one of the most interesting lakes in BC. Boya Lake has a provincial pa...
