Re: How much rust is too much?

I'd definitely walk away from that one!
You can find L300's with no rust at all.

Any new updates?? :) :-D

Hmmm... I don't think we have done much lately. We didn't even go camping once last summer :(

It is for sale though...since we are moving to the US at the end of the year and can't take it will us.

Everything was purchased on eBay. Just be careful of what you buy. Make sure you get decent quality LED's

Re: Electrical sound that mimics revs, tachometer

Thanks, I'll have a poke around There isn't much else that could mimic rpm type effects except a speaker or maybe a piezo-sensor like a door/key chime reminder. Ever since I installed 2 new batteries, when I have the keys in the ignition (but not turned) I get a faint clicking sound when the door is...

Turning the radio off doesn't change anything.

Electrical sound that mimics revs, tachometer

It's been quite a while since I've posted on here. Lucky to be issue free in Ontario :) I've done some searching for weird electrical noises and issues related to the tachometer but haven't seen anything exactly the same. My rpm's always hold perfectly steady. It doesn't bump around like other posts...

Re: Lack of Power / Possible blown turbo

I'm not a mechanic so I have no advice on what went wrong. What I can say though, is that parts are not hard to get. There are multiple sources in BC that can ship you parts no problem. I'll let you search for the dealers on this site because my opinion will be biased. If that mechanic is hesitant, ...

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?

FINALLY, after owning our L300 for more than 6 years, we replaced our Japanese batteries. There were a couple days last winter that we had trouble.
Not this year. Spent $463 on two batteries that have 770 CCA each. Shouldn't have any issues this winter!

Re: Here's how to fix a stuck horn

My horn has been randomly going off while hitting bumps and a few times it stayed on for 5 seconds or so. Instead of being woken up in the middle of the night I thought I would preemptively fix it. This was the easiest thing I've ever done on the delica. Literally took no more than 6-7 mins. I didn'...

Re: L300 dual batteries for camping

One of the easiest things you can do these days is just buy a portable power pack. This way you can use it inside the delica when driving/camping, but also take it out when you get to your campsite if needed. I've been researching and this seems to be one of the best. Just buy a good deep cycle batt...

Re: Captain Chair wobble fix pictures needed

I'm trying to understand why this works... I looked at my wobbly captains chairs today, they already have a washer then a lock washer then a bolt. Adding another washer is going to fix the wobble? In the picture above, it's the SILVER washer that is added, not the gold ones. The added washers go be...

Check pg 3 of my post. All I did was cut the wires going into the bi pin connector and used those to connect to my LED strips.

Its been nice seeing you!

My wife and I are back in Vancouver for the week and it has been great seeing all the delica's around town. It has been a while since seeing another delica's on the road and it puts smiles on our faces each time we see you! We are also looking to come back to Vancouver. If anyone has any Hospital co...

Re: nvanadm's Derelictica

I've been wanting one for over 5 years. Couldn't justify $400-$600 for a hitch plus then having to buy a bike rack on top of that. $200 is well worth it though.

Re: nvanadm's Derelictica

Finally got a hitch. Bought it used here on Delica. It's a factory hitch so I just needed to take the chrome bumper off and put the hitch on. Took 20 mins. Shipping from BC to ON was $75, but it only cost $125 so it was a cheap hitch overall for $200. Going to remove it in the spring and clean it up...
