Re: Happy Holidays! & So Long
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the many merchants that frequent this site. TLGF Wayne Hey, Wayne, I should have given you a rear diff free of charge or under $50? But you couldn’t afford any price I gave you. You just wasted my time. And ,no worry for the ads, I took off all ads from Delic...

Re: L400 turn signal issue
So i'm having a very strange issue with my turn signals. I'd say 60% of the time they work fine, but occasionally they stop blinking and stay solid when I use the indicators. It's very intermittent , I can't seem to fine a pattern to it. It does this on both the left and right side. It seem to only...

Re: L300 4D56 Oil Filter Cross References
One thing I've learned you have to watch out for is the threads. There is a 4D56 engine made by Hyundai that takes a filter with M20x1.5, but the Mitsubishi 4D56 needs M26x1.5 threads. This is absolutely wrong, both exclusive Hyundai and Mitsubishi 4D56 engines need same thread oil filters. I just ...

Any difference for each model year in 1st gen L400 ?
Delica L400 is getting more popular here in Canada, so it is really important to know the difference for each model year. We know the main difference between 1st and 2nd gen L400, but there’s no discussion if there is any difference for each year model in 1st gen L400. Someone claims he does not imp...

Re: Coolant gurgling
you replaced the head and did not do the timing belt with only 20,000km left? I would assume $3000.00   would include the belts and tensioners... Kind of like rebuilding a motor and putting the used oil back in? that is crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy! That is crazzzzzzzzzzzier than welding two de...

Re: Beware of Rising Sun Auto
Hi Chris, Here are several reasons why I couldn’t get a return in the end. 1. You bought it 35 days ago ( directly from my shop, not shipped ) as it is way too long to return. I don’t know its current condition/damage , because you have driven your L400 LWB a lot with that unique 3rd glass installed...

Re: Coolant gurgling
They just got a bad rap because Hilux Surfs along with Landcruisers and Townace vans were among the first mass imported jap vehicles when the craze started in 03-04 and greedy dealers were brining in whatever they could find (ie many pre-cracked for your convienience) and selling them to idiots wit...

Re: Coolant gurgling
I talked to Butch . He recommended replacing the head if I'm going to be keeping the van for a while (which I am). His prices were a bit higher ($2200-2600 for just the head, not the assembly) because he uses the original parts instead of the ones from Taiwan which he doesn't trust. I asked if ther...

Hi Steven, if the bench seat is still available, david jack would love it, and wants me to pick up from you as he is on the island. I can pick up Weds or Thurs or Friday. Many thanks, christine of The Tardis Deli. (edited by christine to say only bench seat, not both). Hi Christine, Sure, But first...
