HELP! Badly Need Pajero Petrol Parts

What year is it? Pretty sure I said the same thing in your last post. The drive train parts should be the same as the US Montero. Search at rockauto.com if you can't get them in locally. I've never had a problem finding parts for my 1993 3.5 DOHC exceed, although its not a GDI. The drive-line 'shou...

HELP! Badly Need Pajero Petrol Parts

I was recently looking at purchasing this same model 2001 Pajero with 3.5L GDI / Brian at b-pro.ca imported it, someone else recently bought it (sept27 i think) anyhow maybe that’s a lead that can help you out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2001 Pajero is not the same as Fred's. His is a V43 c...

I'll make sure we check that. Thanks Growler! I've had plenty of pajeros over the last 20 some years but this is my first deli experience (vicariously through my brother, above LOL). Had several 4d56s and 4m40s too, but the deli experience is definitely a little different. We'll update with our prog...

After a minute of running the engine should be warm enough on its own to keep going even if the glow plugs decide to turn off. You could test it by starting the engine, waiting until it starts to stutter, and then putting a jumper lead from battery + to the glow plug rail- that'll manually turn you...

Thanks Ralph... a few more pics from my commute yesterday. Figured I'd give it a few runs to make sure everything was going to stay in place. 17190953_10154736661972025_1236348820271818766_n.jpg 17156092_10154736662087025_2940212743714345257_n.jpg Have the awning on now too, so should be a great set...

Fan Belt

Agreed with Growler... initial stretch and then you should be good until the next belt. Marking is a good idea for sure. If you ever get in to Calgary sometime come by and we can have a good look at it and see if anything else is going on there.

Bad squealing noise at 2500rpm, Turned out to be the AC belt tensioner. New bearing being sourced this week. Otherwise... oil change, and completely stripped the interior (again) to shampoo carpets, seats, mats. Even did the headliner. LOL. Have replacement sunvisors to replace my broken ones, and h...

Excellent how-to! Well documented and nice product choice. May have some questions after I read the links and do some research. But for now... thanks!

Last few weeks have been spent modifying the odo. LOL, in other words, putting miles on it! Now have 5000km on it since it landed in Canada, and this thing is a tank. Starts every morning, have gotten 10.0000 L/100km on the latest tank, and close to that on the others. Soon time for a second oil cha...

Pajero Petrol Parts Needed

Just for info sakes, we didn't get the GDI officially here, in the Montero, even in the gen3. But Rock Auto is a good source in the meantime, and GDI or not makes no difference in terms of timing gear. Not sure if Fred is sorted or not...?

Yes they did. Will bring it in on Monday for a check up. It is pretty expensive to fix this truck. I don't want to wreck it for some small adjustment. If you're near Airdrie, I can help you tighten your accessory belts. I'm assuming that you got all new accessory belts when you got your timing belt...

First weekend with it was spent doing all accessory belts, rad hoses, thermostat, coolant, oil and filters, etc. Attached an engine pad heater. Replaced headlight bulbs. This week I started on the inside... replaced dash center bezel (original cracked taking it out), installed an Android headunit, a...

Passed out of province with no deficiencies! Interior needs a good cleaning, and clear is delaminating from hood/roof but otherwise? Mechanically very sound, starts great in subzero temps, and had timing belt done 20k ago. Also, maintenance records since new in glove box. So... so far, so good! FB_I...

Cleared customs. Being shipped in the next few days to Edmonton. OOP being done there, and then I'll go and get her. Looks like a deep freeze is heading for edmonton according to the long term forecast, when I plan to pick her up. I will be bringing items to account for contingencies. 8-)
