L400 -- Heavy Coolant Leak
It might not be hard to find the leak. It's easy to see and get to the rad, upper and lower rad hoses, and the coolant expansion tank. Feel around each with a glove and you may find the leak. Then you can decide if you can make a temporary repair. Pets find coolant tasty and it will kill them so be ...

Rear door won't open
The thread link above has a picture and part number for either a mitsubishi dealer or auto parts place or eBay. If I understand you correctly, the light over the hatch area does not come on when you open the hatch? If so, check to make sure the light cover is slid to the correct position (the lens i...

Re: 94 Diesel L400 - Is there a lift pump? If so, where is it?
A tip for starting in really cold weather is to pump up the fuel filter. The pump is on top of the filter which is above your battery on the firewall. Can't hurt to try.

Re: AWD or 4WD?
Stock hubs don't unlock. They are permanently locked. When you select 4H or 4x4 with the lever, you are mechanically engaging the front drivetrain through the centre diff. The linkage under the shift lever boot can break or get stuck. It's only a few bolts to undo to check. As for your lights, check...

Re: Should just take a second
Those warning lights and dead battery mean alternator trouble. Very common. A local auto electric place should be able to rebuild it for you. It's not that hard to take out. Disconnect the wire and connector, then two bolts, take off the two belts and it's ready to wiggle out. I removed the air box ...

Re: L400 Front door lock actuator
I've done it with a generic actuator from princess auto. Good instructions are here:http://imageevent.com/russpix/photos/ce ... conversion
If you go that route you need to disconnect a wire to the original actuator or you will burn out the Central locking module.

Anyone with max overdrive roof bars and L400 crystal lite?
I need to know how high the cross bars are above the roof. Mdrive says 2 - 3 inches but I need to know exactly to confirm my roof box will fit in the garage. 2.5 inches or less and I can do it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
