Re: Delica Winterization
Gas or diesel? My 2002 is a gas v6 and it took forever to put out heat. A new thermostat seemed to help a lot. My sliding door has a self close mechanism where you just lightly close the door on the first catch and it'll close itself the rest of the way. I don't know if every year is the same or jus...

Re: Delica Dreaming
Yeah, this forum is pretty dead.
I'm in the Edmonton area and have an 02 L400. I've seen 2 l400's and a D5 on my short commute this winter.
What van are you getting, and are you importing it yourself or???

Re: WIPER/INDICATOR SWITCH, STEERING COLUMN Assembly (MB953289)
This is the closest thing I could find. https://autoparts.beforward.jp/detail/Electrical-Parts/Combination-Switches/PA66757400/?tp_country_id=7&buynow=1 I wonder if the other style(separate) switch would work. The connectors look similar but it wouldn't bolt up with some haywire and duct tape yo...

Re: Best source for brake parts?
If you have abs you'll have wheel speed sensors at each wheel with wires leading to them. I don't think calipers or rotors differ depending on abs or non-abs as the caliper is just a hydraulic piston with no wiring going to it. You could just ask coombs, I'm sure they'd be able to give you a better ...

Re: 2002 L400 V6
The battery died the other day. I installed a 27 group in place of the old Japanese 24 group. Then the transmission started shifting like crap, flaring while shifting to 4th. Thought it was toast but after an hour or two it went back to normal. I did change the transmission fluid anyways, drop and f...

Re: Best source for brake parts?
Hey all, I am having difficulty finding replacement rear calipers. They do not seem to be as available as front calipers. I have been buying front calipers for 1996 Montero from Lordco and they match perfectly. I am wondering if: a) Montero rear calipers fit/match Delica L400? b) What is a good onl...

2002 L400 V6
I recently bought a Delica. It's a 2002 short, high roof(no sunroof), gas, 8 passenger with cloth seats. Pretty much the setup I was interested most in. I was planning to drive this thing all winter if I can afford to keep it filled up with fuel and don't have to keep throwing parts at it. The main ...

Re: 4WD Issues: Disengagement and binding feeling
I had the same thing happen to mine. I just tested out the 4wd to make sure it worked. It probably wasn't a great idea to do it on pavement...the driveline was all bound up and I had to drive forward and back in a straight line a few times before it would unlock and go back to 2wd. I assume that's k...

I just signed up, I'm in the Edmonton area. I've been interested in the Delica for a while now, particularly the L400. I've never been interested in owning a rhd vehicle until now. I'm looking for something I can use as a commuter car and take out camping in the mountains once in a while, ideally ha...
