Re: NEEDED: Passenger side MIrror & Passenger headlight glass
Thanks for the info!! I took apart both the passenger & driver's side mirrors, and was able to swap out parts from each to make a "new" passenger side mirror. That will help until I can source another. The passenger side mirror seemed essential when driving and changing lanes, so your ...

NEEDED: Passenger side MIrror & Passenger headlight glass
HEY everyone, I had a bit of a fender bender recently because my brakes failed (rubber for the brake hoses was old/cracked). Anywho, I am now searching for a replacement passenger side mirror, and the glass for the left headlight was broken. The light still works, so i'm not sure if I need to replac...

Re: Totally naive wvo question
N.B. All of these issues are further compounded and complicated when doing research/reading because to most Americans, bio-diesel and WVO as synonymous. To 'fix' that problem (which they created), they've further taken to calling WVO: straight vegetable oil or SVO (if you've seen that acronym). She...

Two great links for Newbies interested in WVO /Biodiesel
Hey!, don't know if these were shared before, but these two sites answered many questions on using veggie oil versus biodiesel in easy to understand terms! Not sure if it's okay to post links like this in the forum? Just thought maybe they would be helpful to someone else as well. http://socalbiofue...

Re: Totally naive wvo question
You don't need to change the tubes and seals for WVO (either mixed or 100% with a kit) but you do for biodiesel (especially if going higher than 20%). Really?! okay now you have our full attention. I wouldn't use a 80-20 mix, maybe 50-50 at the max in the summer and to be on the safe side I'd keep ...

Re: Totally naive wvo question
Morning, thinned WVO/SVO and diesel will run like straight diesel in mild weather. If you have any hard starting issues increase the diesel mix. Several times already we've added 5 gallons of WVO to a friends diesels (non-WVO converted) when they've been empty; runs great though they shouldn't shut...

Re: Waste Motor Oil as fuel for the WVO Delica
Test #1 Went through a full tank of - 80% ATF recycled from transmission shop 20% Diesel from the pump Runs stronger and got better mileage by 1.2mpg. (this was on our trip down/up to WA) Will test on 2nd tank as well (currently driving on it daily) This is an old diesel trade secret I picked up fr...

Re: Has anyone tried this anti-theft product?
yes. It's basically a steering wheel lock that covers the whole wheel & prevents thieves from cutting the wheel like with regular club-like locks. It also spins, so since there is no leverage, they claim it is extremely difficult to even try to drill it off. It prevents forcing the steering whee...
