Where to get bushings? L300

Some 4WD Delicas don't have a rear sway bar. I'm guessing you've checked that yours does? The rest look like a good start. My leaf spring bushes are still surprisingly good, so I haven't bothered replacing them. Same with the steering rack bush. My front diff bushes are a touch saggy, but I figure ...

Your an absolute legend Growler. Ill work at doing a compression test in due time here. Is there any chance that when you have time (no rush) you could share some photos of your catch can set up? I saw a video (youtube) where it was mounted near the fuel filter with about 2 1/2 feet of 1 inch hose g...

Hi all, 92 l300 250km on her with a new head replacement completed this spring. For those of you that followed my last post that was miss titled "squeal while on throttle" it was my injectors causing the low performance and smokey running. I fitted the van with used injectors and I'm happy to say th...

Squeal while on throttle

Soo, popped off the crank pulley again today. I guess I was hoping to see that the crank sprocket was off a tooth but everything actually looks bang on. What could be causing the brutal smokey and powerless performance since the head replacement? I'm at the point where a tow to the shop my be a bett...

Squeal while on throttle

I was able to check the timing today. With the cam and IP right on their marks it appears the crank pulley is about 5mm out. Is it fair to say the crank sprocket is probably a tooth off?

Squeal while on throttle

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdNWDyGW5FU&feature=youtu.be This was about 15mins after start up. Followed it up with a 15min drive. Felt pretty sluggish. Trouble accelerating. I'm in the process of moving so driving it was better than towing. Its defiantly got a bit of a knocking noise but I figur...

Squeal while on throttle

I'd say ya nailed it. Stupid thing.jpg Now for the even bigger issues: After swapping the hose and finding my alternator belts way out of spec (the loud squealing) I adjusted those and fired it up again. During the initial start up it was puffing alot of dark grey smoke but I ran it for such a short...

Squeal while on throttle

Yes, it goes away as soon as I lay off the throttle.

and yes, its a home outlet which now appears melted and leaking coolant through the outlet.

I'll post the photo tomorrow when I get it off.

Cheers

Squeal while on throttle

So today I finally started her up after replacing the head. Good news, after bleeding the air out of the fuel lines. She fired up! (yay me). Now for the bad news: I didn't run it for more than 8 mins or so due to a couple things: 1. There was a high pitched squeal as soon as the RPMs went a bit abov...

Stay away from him. Basic maintenance is ignored. Just my thoughts.

Fuel Injector Install

Hi, Just prepping a new head for install.. I have purchased the copper washers (base seals) that sit in the injector ports, the return seals that mount on the top of the injector before the fuel rail, and the injector tip heat shields. However, I'm not sure where these heat shields go. Is it possibl...
