Re: Hard Startin Delica L300
Hey Phil! Glad to hear you still have your L300! I'd bench test the glow plugs first for sure. I installed a bypass switch even though my controller still works (pre-emptive!) and on cold days I'll press that for a few seconds to even out the "chugging" after the glow plug controller does ...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(
So, I guess, get a rebuild kit (not expensive) and maybe pull the pump and just replace that oring? Seems an easy one once the pump is out.
GB said to remove the bracket from the engine, not the IP from the bracket, and that will preserve the timing setting.

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(
I can’t think of anything off hand (it was a couple years ago I did the rebuild) but my guess is it may be time to just pull it and rebuild it. It’s a project to do it but I managed following https://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/ve-injector-pump-rebuild-in-colour_topic17456.html and extra guidance fro...

Re: Van died suddenly...
I think I tracked it down to a loose fusible link. Crimped the female side a bit, cleaned it and hit it with dielectric grease. See how it goes…

Re: Van died suddenly...
After pondering, I think the problem is somewhere in the neighbourhood of the ignition switch, specifically the power to the switch...maybe in the connector...It's a brand new OEM switch this spring...

Van died suddenly...
Driving home today, raining, but not torrential and no big puddles. Turn onto my street and the van dies. No dash warning lights but the dash illumination lights (and I assume headlights) stayed on. Turned the key to try to start it and nothing. No dash lights. No click. But still the dash illuminat...
