L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

I wimped out. After thinking about it I took it to a mechanic. Since it's my daily driver I can't afford to have it out of commission for a few days while I try to fix the timing or wait for the mechanic to have time to look at it. If I had another car I would have gone for it.

L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

Thank you Growlerbear. Good timing on that as well. I just got the seals so I guess I'll give it a shot. The local shop want's to charge $1000 to replace the seals so I'll save some cash if I don't break anything.

Manual glow plug switch schematic for super quick system

I used the instructions I posted for the Pajero. It works well and all you need is a button some wires and a fuse for safety. The hardest part was removing the cigarette lighter so I could mount the button on the same panel. You could get the ECU repaired and hook it up while still using the button ...

L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

So... Theoretically I'll be able to take it off, replace the seals, and reinstall it with out having to redo the timing? That seems too good to be true.

If I do a full rebuild will it require redoing the timing?

L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

I have seen that and it looks pretty complicated, swiss watch complicated, but not unreasonable. If I pull it out I'm guessing I'll have to redo the timing which I am loathe to do. That is what i'm trying to avoid.

L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

I need to replace the larger o-ring behind it. The one on the plate the pump lines attach to.

L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

I've noticed on other fuel injection pumps most people just back the pump head out enough to access the o-ring and replace it with out removing the whole unit. Has anybody tried this on a Delica?

Manual glow plug switch schematic for super quick system

Here's an answer for anybody interested. It's for a Pajero but the system is the same. It cost me about $35 and I got everything from the local hardware store. It seems to be working but I would love to hear from other members about any better ways of doing this. You'll have to sign up but it comes ...

Manual glow plug switch schematic for super quick system

My glow plugs aren't heating up and the relays are clicking but one right after another. I took out the ECU and found quite a few traces on the circuit board are corroded so I figure that's the issue. Given the amount of corrosion it doesn't look repairable. I have the super quick system and I need ...

L300 Leaking fuel injection pump head

My injection pump is leaking through a bolt on the back that connects the pump head. From what I have gathered there is an O ring for the pump head that needs replacing. Is it possible to replace the o ring with out removing the whole pump? Is there anything else I should do while I've got it apart?...

Broken camshaft bearing caps and rocker arm

Quantico Cylinder Heads does make an assembled head. It comes with a one year warranty as well which I guess is good. They aren't based in the US though. I've had them mess up on a shipment and the part was actually shipped from England. The address on their website is a u-haul facility in Dallas an...

Broken camshaft bearing caps and rocker arm

Damn, I figured. From what I can tell the 1991 has the protruding valve, is that correct? Do you know of any semi reputable places where I can order one. It seems a lot of people are complaining about cheap Chinese made ones. I'm seeing price ranges from $250-$1000. That seems a bit suspect to me.

Broken camshaft bearing caps and rocker arm

I broke 3 camshaft bearing caps and a rocker arm on my 91 L300. I jumped the timing while replacing the head gasket. Can I just replace them or do I need to replace the whole head? I'm getting mixed messages on various forums.
