Need intatke fitting gasket for L300 4D56T
I recently made a few exhaust and intake gaskets using Fel-Pro "Fel-Ramic" gasket material. It's held up for 12000km so far with no issues. Difficult to punch bolt holes, though, so I used a drill bit. Relatively inexpensive, metal/ fiber bonded material

Turbo Whine
Check the bolt tightness on your exhaust outlet... maybe even for a hole. My new exhaust loosened off, and sounded like a 747 on takeoff. No carbon trail, no ticking sound, but tons of turbo noise. My old springs were fractured all over

What did you do TO your Delica today?
Replaced a leaking exhaust manifold gasket and watched our boost jump from a smoky 5psi up to 10 cruising with the option of opening the relief valve when you floor it.

Sun visors
Greetings folks, from lovely Nova Scotia in the summer. Just a minor post, but I've been bothered by my L300 sun visors since purchasing my van 2 years ago. Today after a short time in the scrap yard with visor in hand, I found a 20 dollar solution, with a mirror if desired. I grabbed the visors fro...

L300 AC Condenser
Hi folks, A while back, I picked up a used front condenser (the large one forward of passenger side wheel), and replaced the old busted one. When I had the system pressure tested with nitrogen, we found a huge leak at the aft end connection. It appears that the aluminum tube nut had been damaged whe...

Phillips & Temro Circulating Coolant Heater
Hi folks, sorry for the late reply. I'm back at work for another month so unfortunately I don't have a chance to take any photos of my installation. That being said, the job took less than an hour, and I completed it without draining the cooling system. Also did not require any special tools. There ...

Cost about 140$ at NAPA. There are other models from 90-160$ available.

Phillips & Temro Circulating Coolant Heater
Hi folks, So, I have recently decided to help the old girl, '91 L300 4D56, with a new coolant heater. I wasn't a huge fan of the block heater install, due to the inaccessibility and potential for a hard-to-reach leak. The heater is a Phillips & Temro, Series 41 1000W circulating type tank heater...

Starting Issues, Super Cold Temps in Ontario
I recently purchased one of the circulating type heaters, Philips and Temro 1000W element I believe. Cost around 140$ from NAPA. I have an L300 which has no issues starting until about-10 to -15C, at which point I avoid eye contact with bystanders as I spew smoke across the parking lot. I run 15w40 ...

Metal Fabrication / Skid plates - ***Drawings***
I can't see DXF files on my tablet, but I fabricated mine using the PDF plans and it fit like a glove on the first attempt. Unless something is bent out of shape, the bend diagram is bang-on.

More oily turbo mess
That being said, leakage could possibly occur as a result of higher back-pressure on the oil return line (blow by or blockage), by shaft wear/damage in way of the seals, or a combination of both. Anyhow, just speculation, but a turbo is easier than a full engine overhaul :)

More oily turbo mess
No expert on this matter by any means, and feel free to correct me, but is there any possibility that it may be leakage within the turbo? I haven't had mine apart (yet) and I don't know what kind of labyrinth seal and bearing arrangement is fitted, but I've seen a scaled-up version (V-16 diesel gene...

Awesome. Thanks so much Growler. I'll see what I can come up with when I get home. Mine is a 1991, fortunately.

Blinker issues
I had to go away to work for the month, so I won't be able to look until late November. The bulbs all work fine and the frequency is correct with the 4 ways on, so I'm pretty sure it is indeed the relay gone faulty. However, it is a functioning signal light, and if it needs to wait until the new yea...
