Re: Diesel heater fuel pickup

I was able to find a used Espar at a reasonable price and I'm very happy with it's results. The fire chamber did foul up on me a little while after I got it however parts and new gaskets were easy to find at local shops that deal with heavy equipment. If I had to purchase new I'd still probably coug...

Re: Diesel heater fuel pickup

If you're still looking for answers, I put a hydronic coolant heater onto my L400 (diesel) and i just teed into one of the rubber fuel lines in between the hard line sections along the body rails underneath roughly under the sliding door. After 2 years she's still running smoothly with no vacuum iss...

It turns out there were a hot little item and I sold them to an awesome dude from Calgary last year.

Re: V6 L400 - Premium or Regular?

Other vehicles that used the 6G72 engine were 1987-2000 Dodge Caravans among plenty of others... no one then or now is feeding their Caravan premium fuel and don't have the compression ratios to require it.

Re: Tires that fit?

About the largest 'standard' replacement tires with no lift are 235/75R15... A good tire shop will be able to easily find most light truck varieties and put them on (aka Costco will get grumbly with you that they aren't 'stock' size)

Re: BFG KO2 for BC year round use ?

I've been using them around the mountains in Alberta / Golden / Rogers pass for a few seasons now and I think they're awesome.

Insurance for Alberta Deli

I've heard rumours that the Co-operators may be able to offer something other than just PLPD... I've been meaning to look into it myself since my insurance has almost doubled on my van in the past 2 years and I'm getting grumpy with TD. Let us know if you find anything as I'm looking to change mine ...

roof racks for a spacegear.

I've got 4 mounting legs (for 2 bars) sitting in my garage collecting dust. You'd have to source some new cross members as the original ones were destroyed in a tragic roll over. I'd be happy to pass them off to someone who would use them. They were off a 95 L400 high roof. The only down side is I l...

Rear interior vent question.

I have a SWB L400 and I have 3 vents along the driver side wall, two in the middle seat area and one for the back seats (I have bucket seats in the middle). The front and back ones are where hot air exits and the middle is the intake. The rear heater core only pulls air from the inside of the van so...

LT 235 75 15 104/101s tires on stock l400 rims

I have a set of BF Goodrich All-terrain T/A KO2 235/75R15 on my 1995 L400 with the stock delica rims and they are great on there (no lift on the van either). You shouldn't run into any problems at all

Question about DRL's and relays

I'd looked at ordering a set of ones like those myself but then figured I wanted more power and put the big square ones in. I did learn that even with spot beam pattern the distance they throw light is pretty dismal. I've got 48w each on mine and while they light up the ground directly in front of t...

Question about DRL's and relays

I've wired a few relays into my van for various uses and it definitely sounds like this should work. Depending on the power of your lights you may need to run another relay straight off the batter before this one to supply it with power but I'm hoping what you're planning to use for DRLs aren't that...

Front door trim/speakers swap

This is from 3 threads down... I wrote it up for a 1995 L400 so I can't say if anything changed with the gen 2 ones but it's pretty easy to get the door panels off: There will be 2 screws accessible from the door panel, the first one in the little cup you use to close the door and the other behind t...

Central locking issue...

I don't have a link for the door panels but I can walk you through the personal experience... There will be 2 screws accessible from the door panel, the first one in the little cup you use to close the door and the other behind the door handle. After you take the one behind the door handle out, the ...

Central locking issue...

I had similar issue with my van... the passenger side was working but would be slower than the rest of the doors and eventually it just stopped. The downside is the lock actuator for the driver and passenger doors looks to be a whole unit with the latch mechanism itself. I had the door panels open, ...
