Can't locate parasitic draw

Well I narrowed it down to the alternator fusible link and tested the diode on my alternator and it's totally fine! the draw is still there even with the alternator completely disconnected. There must be a bad diode somewhere between the alternator and the battery.

Can't locate parasitic draw

Ever since I have owned my L400 it has had a parasitic drain that draws about 280 mAmps. There is a battery switch that I have to constantly use to prevent a dead battery. I've tested every fuse inside underneath the steering wheel, and under the hood and couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any...

Diesel heater fuel pickup

So I bought a diesel air heater for my L400 and wondering about plumbing it into the vehicle’s existing fuel tank. It comes with a small fuel pickup (see photo) that I would put in the bottom of my fuel tank, but I’m wondering if it create too much vacuum inside the fuel tank since I won’t be runnin...

Clicking sounds after accelerating

I have a 1996 L400 and started noticing a single pop or click noise everytime after I accelerate and get up to highway speeds from being stopped. Sound is coming from the passengers footwell or behind the glovebox.

Runs great other than the mysterious noise!

L400 parts

Pair of stock tailgate struts for 1996 L400. Lots of life left, just selling because I put longer ones in.

Stock expansion tank and cap. No visible cracks. Pulled off my L400 at 205,000 KM.

Water pump and thermostat from same vehicle pulled off at 210,000 km

Make me an offer!

4m40 engine rattle

After doing some minor work to my engine I've noticed a loud engine rattle while driving ONLY between 1500-2000 rpm. Has been doing it for about 2000 km, but no other symptoms. Doesn't do it in neutral, so its difficult to tell where its coming from in the engine but sounds like the driver's side. I...

Pyrometer

I installed my autometer 2 1/16 pyrometer gauge in replacement of the inclinometer. fits perfect in the same hole in that instrument cluster and just wired it into the existing wires from the temperature gauge. As for the thermocoupler...I tapped it into my blanking plate where my EGR used to be and...

ICBC insurance coverage

I'm trying to get a sense of how ICBC handles delica's in the event of an accident, or even a minor fender bender. When I initially transferred insurance from old owner, they didn't have a gold book value on my L400 so they took my word for the price I paid . Is it true they tend to writeoff delica'...

I am definitely keen to make my own too.I've read that you can buy just the gutter mounted clamps, and then the rest would be easy. Just not sure where to source out the clamps, princess auto?

What did you do TO your Delica today?

After owning my L400 for 4 months now, it's got 210,000 KM and I am feeling very good about the work I've done and the years to come! Mechanical stuff since I bought it: - All fluid and filter changes. Using Mobil1 delvac 15w-40. Transfer case fluid was a nightmare!! - Replaced Ball joints, one tie ...
