no crank/no start no second click?

Had my Delica hauled into my mechanic, and of course, he had no issues with it starting. He ended up disconnecting and cleaning a lot of electrical between the battery and everything else. He replaced a frayed throttle position sensor cable, tightened the battery terminals and drove it for a few day...

Re: Removing rain shield.

Thanks very much. Mine has clips that disappear into the rubber, so I'm going to take your advice on that and proceed cautiously.

Re: Temporary plates to drive across U.S.

Thanks for the replies. Build date is Oct. 1990, so no problems there. Private sale. the car has been registered in BC for a couple years. I'm going to try to get an extended temporary tag and if not, just do as Furi said and keep the temps visible, have the van in good shape (Coombs is dialing it i...

Re: Hello from a VW bus guy looking at Delicas

Definitely holler at me if you're coming this way. My wife and I have been affiliated with a great jazz club in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati since 1986 (www.deefelicecafe.com). Gave us a taste for jazz of all flavors. We both still work there when we are in town (we are part time care taking for an ...

Temporary plates to drive across U.S.

I can't seem to find any information on driving my Delica from the border in Washington state to my home in Kentucky. I've contacted KY DMV and they seem to have no problem registering it. They will not, however issue a temporary tag for me to drive it across country. I have insurance in the States ...

OEM table for L300?

I saw a guy on a UK Delica site that claimed there were three OEM tables in the UK, and that he had owned them all at one time. Looked awesome, and utilized the tracks for the middle captain's chairs. Anybody know about these?

Re: "survival kit" for long distance travel

Thanks very much for the reply. I'll have to look into the "bypass switch" starting. I have a decent tool kit built up fro the '68 VW bus, but will inquire with Coombs Country Auto on any specialty tools that might be handy.

"survival kit" for long distance travel

Can I please get some opinions on a parts list of spares (belts, hoses, etc.) that you would recommend that a Delica owner never leave on a trip without? My old "keeping your VW alive" manual had a list of spares suggested for longer trips. Suggestions for the Delica would be greatly appre...
