Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

Yea. Been looking at some videos to remove the pump. Seems bit of work and I don't have the space to do it... and since its out, and I'm not 100% sure that is the seal that is leaking, mind as well do the whole pump. So I'm back to holding off til I can get the whole pump resealed by a pro!!! Meanwh...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

Planning on doing the whole pump... just wanted to buy some time. And as much as I like to get my hands dirty, resealing the pump is a bit beyond my comfort level. Specially since I might get on the road with her... It is a pickle though. Its not the return line. And leak doesn't effect starting, an...

Disability assist lift/transfer Captain seat

Recently purchased an L400 that came with an interesting after-market feature; a fully functioning disability assist lift/transfer seat by the sliding door. The original Delica captain seat is fitted on top of the hardware that moves the chair outside and lowers to ground level, and then lifts back ...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

I wouldn’t think so. I don’t think those lines/hoses would warm up significantly as the fuel running through them wouldn’t get very hot. Maybe if the leak was only on really cold winter days? Temps are moderate. There is a lot of fuel leak which I would imagine would cause a bad start, but engine t...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

Hey Phil, If you have a UV light (I picked up a small UV flashlight at Princess Auto) you’ll be able to see the leak more easily in the dark. Diesel glows bright green, like antifreeze. I’ve also heard some spray foot powder on areas in question and you’ll see the tracks after a short run. When my ...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Well... after all that decided to go with a toggle switch. Would've been more fun to use the original switches but getting 2 switches per space.
learned a lot about the wiring diagram though.

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Oh, that one! That is in 54_Chassis Electrical.pdf , pages54-59 through 54-61 It's a real pain finding stuff in these manuals, especially the electrical stuff! I'm torn between driving the van being my favourite thing to do and working on it being my favourite thing to do... :-D Thanks; thats what ...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

First up, the latest diagram ok'd by lrp: Defogger-switch-wiring.png Second, the two pages mentioned above in the "Supplement_1991_Electrical Wiring.pdf" (which is at the bottom of the list in the link to the manual), together, give you the full picture of how things are wired to the swit...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

This is the entire manual I downloaded and have a print copy of: https://www.nogas.org/Updated_Delica_Manuals/Resized/ Supplement_1991_Electrical Wiring.pdf page 4-41 is the Illumination wiring, page 4-74 is the Defogger circuit I'm not seeing the relay diagram in that document that I have? Is it i...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Are these diagrams from the same source I posted earlier? I would not worry about the extra contact - just remove it. I agree. Though I would pull the relay and put a jumper (a bit of wire shoved into the correct sockets, #2 &#4 I think) to connect the circuit. Defogger relay.PNG Then break your...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Thanks both. Lots of good information to go by. The piece I was missing was power into the switch which as you guys explained comes from the relay. I'm trying to leave the relay/harness as is so in the future the process could just be reversed. So will be using the switch with a new 4pin relay. And ...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

My Furi is definitely special :) But not seeing anything out of ordinary in the diagram, other than no power being supplied to the switch. And no wiring from the switch to the relay other than a power/ground to flip the relay. How would a negative trigger work? Do you see that in the diagram? On ele...

Re: Defogger Switch / Relay ?

Thx for the feedback. So your thinking its setup as a negative/ground trigger for the relay? Are you seeing that in the Diagram? Still learning how to read these things. yes the other two posts on the switch that are blank in the diagram do have connections. color is Green/White, and Black on the ot...

Defogger Switch / Relay ?

hey all... I'm trying to repurpose a few of the switches that I no longer use on the dash. One being the Defogger switch (installed a rear camera and blocked off the back as part of a camper conversion). I found a wiring diagram (attached), and I see that there is power(LR - L) going from the switch...
