EGR Bypass Tutorial with Turbo Talk

Cooling the cc temps and improving mileage is NOT what and egr system is designed for. The introduction of exhaust gas into the combustion cycle dilutes the incoming fuel charge resulting in lower temps and fewer NOx emissions. Google it. Diluting any fuel charge results in worse fuel economy as you...

Ontario Insurance Nightmare - No more RH Drives in Ontario?

I'm a little puzzled by your replies and issues with RHD insurance in Ontario. I put that very phrase into Google and the second hit is http://www.rightdrive.ca/rhd-insurance-ontario/ Following that link takes me to a Vaughan based website that says its selling RHD insurance. Two links down from the...

Re: New member

Another problem with government run insurance. All the vehicles at the outer fringes of "normal" get penalized. Ontario has companies that specialize in RHD insurance.

Re: Glow plug sources

Sadly the onus is on the installer to compare the replacement part with the original. There is enough reference material available out there that the obvious difference in the two parts could have been verified before installation and any damage avoided. "Talk is cheap. Whiskey costs money."

Re: fender flares

Hi, Flexy flares sell a sample pack of all their sizes. I had a set shipped to AZ a while back. $US25. Here's the link to my write up on the SMB forum: Fender flare selection http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16915 Regards, Gavin "Talk is cheap. Whiskey costs money."

RHD insurance cost and availability

Hi, I'm not a Delica owner, but did have insurance issues trying to get my 1984 Dodge B350 4x4 van covered. I found this article that was written to explain the benefits for insurance underwriters in taking on RHD business. It even touches on the short VINs that your trucks have. A must read article...

Re: Ontario Insurance

I've got a 1984 Dodge B350 with aftermarket 4x4 installed in 1985 by a company still in business. I also live in Ontario. The insurance companies are required to offer insurance to any street legal vehicle, but tend to fall back on facility when they can't find some way to rate the vehicle. I sugges...

Should I get it lifted in Japan?

Hi, Careful with a non factory 4wd conversion. You'll have to tell your insurance its four wheel drive because they have the right to assess the risk of the policy. If you don't, and that major accident does happen, they can leave you high and dry for omitting the modification. Took me 2 years to ge...
