Faulty Fuel Gauge Needle

Funny this came up recently, because my gauge is also just died. Mine doesn't move at all when the van is running, stuck way at the bottom below the empty line. I dismantled the dash board and inspected the gauge itself, nothing looked super out of ordinary. I saw lots of delicate looking wires and ...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

Yeah, this heater is a slightly different model than the one I have as well. I'm sure it works all the same though. For crimping, I also do not have special crimping tools, just go slow with needle nose pliers folding one 'blade' of the crimp over the other and making sure you have a good metal to m...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

Am I correct in assuming that I will not need a check valve for the fuel line? I think I have the wiring all figured out except for one plug that comes on the harness. In the wiring diagram it connects to EasyScan or EasyFan. Is that the plug that would go to the fan module? Ya, sounds like 204expl...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

huh, my kit did not have that one. But looks like it could be used for an air intake. The bends in it make me think that it could be oriented to keep water out. See if the diameter fits on the exhaust port.

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

AJ, looks like you got it all figured out. The module I am talking about is from espar. I tapes into the same wire but the output is an ajustable pulse with signal, meaning it draws less amperage and you can adjust the speed of the fan to your needs. I am thinking of ordering the module next week. ...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

Here are a few more photos of the electrical system and the tap to control the fan relay. The power cable for the system follows the two cables on the lower right. These go up passed the air filter and into the engine bay. Connect them to the battery and don't forget to put a fuse into the cable, th...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

Good to hear it works ok without the check valve. I just thought it would be a good precaution. As for the shutoff valves, again, a nice precaution if something goes wrong with the espar I could pull it out without draining a large amount of coolant from the system. I've also heard that the d5 will ...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

Exhaust The installation kit that I got did not supply very much exhaust tubing, which made it difficult to figure out how to fully vent the exhaust beyond the skirt of the delica. You could potentially run it straight to the edge from where the unit sits, but with the rear heater core located ther...

Espar Hydronic Heater - L300 Install

I thought I would share my installation of an espar D5 SC heater in an L300. Living in a cold environment this has been by far the most invaluable addition to my van. I will admit the cost was a little hard to swallow not knowing how well this unit would work, but it certainly works! I do a lot a ca...

Window loose and wont close properly at speed

My windows also have this issue. Would love to see your fix.

Also, I've discovered that for closing the windows at highway speeds, you can open the sunroof while you do it, and it works. Somehow it equalizes the pressure that otherwise pushes the window outward.

FTC Decarbonizer - Does it work?

Just wondering if anyone on here has experience with an FTC decarbonizer? I found this company out of Australia that claims this stuff works miracles on old diesel engines. I'm very weary of any 'liquid' solution for engine problems, but they seem to have a fair amount of evidence that it really wor...
