Bought a Parts Van - Suspect Blown Head Gasket or Cracked Head
Thanks for the reply
I do have what appears to be the correct crank pulley based on this pic from Partsouq using my VIN
Unfortunately it doesn't show the timing mark.
I definitely turned the crank bolt by hand for a few complete revolutions.

Here is a picture of my crankshaft pulley with "Wet n Wild" nail polish marking the timing mark.
Can someone please confirm that my pulley has slipped with a known good pulley?
Bonus points and manicure tips to those who reply!!
Cheers

Bought a Parts Van - Suspect Blown Head Gasket or Cracked Head
Learned something new today!! I decided to go ahead and pull the head for sh#%s and giggles. Before I did that I made 100% sure that all 3 timing marks were aligned...crank pulley on lower timing plastic cover, cam and injector. After getting the head off I measured with rudimentary straight edges (...

Bought a Parts Van - Suspect Blown Head Gasket or Cracked Head
Good Day All I was fortunate to come across a parts van in my neck of the woods for a great deal!!. Its a 1997 L300 with the 4D56. I bought the van knowing that it over heated and that it may have a blown gasket or cracked head. I was thinking about getting the engine running again when I have some ...

31 x 10.5 x 15 tires will work if lifted.
May require a bit of trimming in the front wheel wells and removal of the front step plates.

Need help referencing and locating parts
I have one in Ontario for free.
Not sure if that does you any good considering that you are in Vancouver.

Where to get bushings? L300
More digging has turned up these bushings on Rock Auto
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dod ... shing,7488
To compare, here are a couple of images from a Russian site (spring part number MB631472) and the Rock Auto image.

I did come across those as well but I don't know what the dimensions are for the bushings or the spring ends.

I've been all over the internet and I think I may have found something regarding the elusive front bushing on the leaf spring. See the link below for SuperPro Suspension Parts out of Australia. https://superpro.com.au/find/superpro-leaf-spring-bush-kit-for-a-superpro-suspension-parts-and-poly-bushin...

15x8J ET-8 rims on L300?
Word of caution when looking at negative offset rims. I was running 15x8 rims with an offset of -20mm (3.71" backspacing) for the last few years. First problem will be the sliding door rubbing the back wheel when opened. The second and more important issue will be the stress on the outer bearin...

6 inch tailgate lift
Good day eh!! Great info here. Thanks to Erebus for making things crystal clear. The only thing I would like to add is the bolt specs. M6-1.0 x 16 M6 = 6mm diameter 1.0 = thread pitch 16 = length in mm You want 16 mm in length to compensate for the flat washer and lock washer. Super simple mod but e...
