Differences between S1 and S2 4M40
I used to own a 96 4m40 with and did the "more power hour" and loved it. I'm looking at possibly picking up a 1998 S2 diesel, I know the S2 is electronically controlled, but I don't know much about them. I know the mechanical injection is regarded as being more reliable, but do the S2 have...

Re: adding a retractable side step
I'm heading home this weekend and I'll take a look at my S2 and see where the electrical connections are made and compare it to my S1, the wiring harness might already accommodate it and have some spare plugs, it might be plug and play

Re: S2 diesel halfcut wanted
well I'm not having much luck.
but seeing as I've already got a perfectly good S1 diesel and transmission, and an S2 with much lower km in excellent overall shape, maybe I'll do that swap sinstead

Re: Delica Spacegear L400 Liftkits
I know I wasn't sure about doing a lift like this last year but I think Stefan has the kit nailed down. If his ball joint space has the right angle then the upper control arm plate (ball joint contact point) should be fine. I just sent an email to inquire as well. I want 31" tires on my ride a...

S2 diesel halfcut wanted
So I bought a V6 1998 Delica Chamonix from insurance salvage. Its only got 85000km, and in mint shape, other then front end damage from hitting a deer. After driving it home 160km without issue, It sat for a few weeks, and now I started it up and tested the 4x4 around the family acreage, and it's no...

Re: Climate Control Question...
I remember on one of the forums I browse a member making his own micro controller for his climate control, It may have been in a Landcruiser.
so anything is possible if you can source the parts or are resourceful enough to make your own.
But is it worth it is the question?

Re: Climate Control Question...
Like I said, I highly doubt its a straight across swap. Just by comparing the two controls, the temp mixing valve with be servo controlled, so you'll need that servo, and whatever associated ECU it requires. It will also most likely require most of the dash coming apart. And when it comes to taking ...
