Mazda Bongo Friendee
I have rented camperized versions of that van several times in New Zealand. The van Is quite capable on and off asphalt, I suspect that it due to weight distribution. You should know that the passenger seat is Very uncomfortable, with little foam and spring support and the engine heat transfers up t...

Repeat brake trouble
After a couple of years now I have noticed the same problem, The callipers seize and I find water behind the boot. I was also told it was due to poor caliber rebuild quality. As frustrating as it is I suck it up and now consider new callipers annually as an operating expense.

Repeat brake trouble
There does not appear to be any water up near the master cylinder. I am now starting to suspect that the seal on the master cylinder may be part of the problem. If the seal is inadequate or is improperly vented, moisture air may be allowed into the system. I will be watching this.

Re: 1997 Space Gear - Winch Bumpers
I've been away for a while. I don't have a template I afraid. It was a cut to fit, part by part kind of job. It is a tight fit. It attaches to the frame in three points on each side. I also had to cut some of the plastic body parts to fit the winch cradle. I will post some photos with an explanation...

Re: alignment??
I was planning on doing an alignment also. Does anyone know if there is any numbers for adjustment to compensate for driving on the left side of the road instead of the right? If I recall from high school automotive class, alignments compensate for camber in the road. This would mean that the vehicl...

Re: Found this on the ground after an oil change...
If it was found assembled like it was in the photo then I wouldn't worry about it. We use pins like that on pivoting parts on air break systems, not that delica's have those.

Re: Front winch mount options
There are three points of attachment on each side. I used the bolt pattern from the steel tube bumper and I had a shims manufactured to fit inside the two tow loops. I hope this helps.

Re: Front winch mount options
This is the final product. I had the solenoids mounted behind the front body work so it would be out of sight and it won't interfere with the airflow through the radiator. I also have the winch operations switched in the cab too. I was after a clean look that didn't reduce the angle of approach.

Re: A/C filling
I'm not an A/C guy, but I did fill my ac unit. It should be filled to around 13 to 14 pis I believe. Thats no where near 30 to 38 psi.Make sure you fill it to low pressure side. The A/C worked great after I did the fill, but I must have a leak as it stopped producing cold after a few days. I think i...

Re: Front winch mount options
I have a winch mounted to my L400. Its a 9500 lb winch. I have used a couple of time so far his summer. It is a big job to build the mounts and get everything properly placed, but for me its worth it. I have to agree that you can save a lot of money by just using a come-along, but I did not want to ...
