Ok, need to put my nose back in the engine so as to make sure there is or not a turbo... but there is no "T" on the engine number sticker... even though it's in Japanese...

If its a diesel, which is most likely, its not 2.4, it's 2.5l, designation 4D56T. It's just that its 2,476cc, its the norm for actual volume to be slightly less than the 'size'.
