Re: Hard Startin Delica L300

Thanks for the reply. I don’t mind changing out the plugs. This thing owes me absolutely nothing as it’s been an incredible vehicle over my 10 years of ownership. I’m not all that technical, so I think I’ll start with this and perhaps a change of the fuel filter. I’ll post the outcome once I’ve had ...

Hard Startin Delica L300

Hey folks, been a while since I’ve been on here. I have a ‘93 L300 that doesn’t get many miles put on it, even though it’s my primary vehicle. Anyway, lately I’m having difficulty starting it up when it’s cold. I live just north of Toronto in Ontario, and usually it’s pretty good. But it went down t...

Re: Someone Brike Into My Van:(

Thanks for the reply deskinthewoods. I have Steven from Rising Sun looking into this for me. That's cool that delicaworks sells them new. I really only need one for the drivers door. And I don't even need the key as I switched to keyless entry years ago. I just need to fill in the hole in thr door w...

Someone Brike Into My Van:(

The city where I live has gone completely downhill. There's lots of folks with major drug addiction issues. And with that comes crimes. My van has been broken into twice over this past summer. The first time it happened I got lucky and forgot to lock my doors. The second time, I did have it locked, ...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

I'm just reading this now, lol. I haven't been on here in months. And my van hasn't been leaking in months as well. Perhaps it has something to do with the cold weather? I haven't driven it much as I started a new job, and all I do is work now. Anyway, thanks for your input. I'm still loving the van...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

Thanks for the reply deskinthewoods. I had to fire up the van and move it for snow removal today, and it didn't leak at all. I'm just going to keep monitoring it and perhaps get a UV light as you've suggested. I'll also look at those fuel lines with my mechanic. I think you're right that it's probab...

Re: Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

I know my post on this is quite ambiguous, and I've done a bit more research. I fired the van up the other day when it was very cold outside. After a few minutes it started leaking again. diesel was dripping off of the drive shaft and on to the ground. My guess is that possibly the injector pump is ...

Freaky Diesel Leakey:(

Hello everyone, It's been a while since I've been on here. Things have been pretty quiet I guess. Well, until recently..... I have a 1993 Super Exceed that I've owned for almost 8 years now. I had problems with fuel leaks in the past, and so for I've had both fuel tanks refurbished with a new fuel s...

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(

Thanks Alex. I asked my friend who teaches auto at the school I work at if he could score me some. He said that transmission fluid is sometimes used instead of power steering fluid? I'm not so sure about that. :? Anyway, the cool thing is that I was able to put the van up on the hoist after work and...

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(

This is excellent. I'm going to see if the shop teacher at my work can get the Dexron 2 fluid. I couldn't find it at Crappy Tire.
Thanks for the link:)

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(

Cool, I think I can manage that. Did you use any specific type of power steering fluid? I was at Crappy Tire today, but was unsure of what to buy.

Re: More Fun With Leaks:(

Beauty, thanks for the reply. I don't believe I've ever had the drivers seat out, probably why I've never looked at the power steering reservoir. Hopefully it's something simple like what happened to yours. I'll have a look at it this week sometime.

Thanks, Phil 8-)

More Fun With Leaks:(

Hello everyone, Recently I've been dealing with fuel leaking on my van. I've got that sorted, but now I have yet another leak I'm dealing with. It appears to be coming from the drivers side of the vehicle right around where the front right tire is and right below the drivers seat. I've also noticed ...

Re: L300 built in cooler

Are you referring to the Cool Box that sits upfront underneath the dash? Before my A/C Compressor seized a while back mine worked, but it wasn't great. I'm quite certain it would not make ice, although I never tried. I remember it would intermittently blast cold air inside the box, but it wasn't con...

Re: Fuel Pickup on Rear Tank

Thanks for the quick response Alex. My mechanic brazed the holes in the pickup unit and managed to get it to stop leaking fuel. But it's running poorly now, difficulty idling & stalls out when braking. He's going to poke around with it again tomorrow and see what he can do. I'm wondering if mayb...
