3L V6 Reliability

Ive had my newly acquired 2002 V6 for the better part of a month now. Picked it up in Abbotsford and drove it home to Winnipeg. Ive done a few camping trips in that time as well. I slowed down to 100Km from 120Km on the Coquihalla, I didn't want to push it. On the flats or on the prairies it easily ...

roof racks

Hi guys thanks for the input. Seems the Rhino rack gives a little higher clearance than the high roof (not super high roof) Thule. I might entertain that idea.

roof racks

Greetings. I am shopping for racks for my newly acquired 2002 high roof L400. My question is would the Thule high roof 387 gutter mount (8 inch hight) give enough clearance? The super high roof with 11 inch hight seems excessive......also there is a company from Australia called rhino rack. Anyone h...

Dobinsons

Good morning,

Anyone here familiar with Dobinsons suspension parts? Shocks, springs and torsion bars.......I saw them over at delicagarage.com in Australia. Also has anyone shipped anything over from delicagarage? If so I would be interested in your experience(s)

Cheers

Cold Weather Starting Issues

Seems you guys in the lower main land are having a colder than normal winter yes? I was visiting family in Chilliwack at Christmas and was surprised by how cold it was. If thats still the case I would go with 5-40. Or you could have a block heater installed. Its good insurance. No way in hell I coul...

What weight of oil are you using? 15-40 or 5-40? Makes a huge difference.

Any other Winnipeggers having trouble this week?

Good afternoon . Ive been running my L300 here in Winnipeg for nine years. I have never had issues with winter diesel and don't use any anti gel additives. Are you sure your issues are fuel related? Is your battery fully charged? With the temps we've had the last week, I like toss a trickle charger ...

Re: Tires

Good morning. Thanks very much for all the replies. Pulled the trigger on nokian rotiiva a few weeks ago. The dude at Kaltire didn't push me on them, just said they were another option. I've owned Nokians in the past on other vehicles and liked them. The rotiiva have a great load rating as well seei...

Re: Tires

Thanks for the reply!

General grabbers hey! I'll have to look into them for sure. I spoke to a dude at Kale Tire yesterday. Besides the yokos he highly recommended the wild countries and even more so the nokian rotiiva.

Any thoughts..........

Much appreciated!

Re: Tires

Thanks for the reply!

Yes I did like the yokos. They were 235/75r15's. I just thought I'd see if there were better options people here were using. I know the michelins have a good heritage in the XLT lineup.

Thanks again

Tires

Good morning. I'm looking for some advice on new tires. When I bought my van it came with Geolandar ATS. They seemed a good match for what I was using the van for and I used them for 5 years. Two years ago I replaced them with Kelly Safari TRS which are far more aggressive. I took the advice from my...

torsion bars

Good Afternoon. Im in need of some torsion bar advice. I re-indexed about 3 years ago and looks like it needs it done again. I have adjusted them but have run out of space. I replaced my shocks earlier this year and asked the shop if they would possibly re-index them. They didnt stating they didnt w...

Re: Praire owners, I need help deciding

Happy Friday everyone Thank you very much to those who have replied so far! When I was shopping for my L300 seven years ago I was sold on the Super Exceed due to the fact that it had the crystal roof and winter package. As I get deeper into what I want this time around I feel myself being pulled awa...
