Yes, but the centre bore for the L400 is slightly bigger, so they will be tight but still doable. I took a 4" hole saw and stuck emery paper to the outside surface and sanded the centre bore so it doesn't stick as badly. This is a hack though, best is to have the hole machined.

Agreed, RMI runs a good business. Just picked up some Japanese made tie rod ends for the L400 from RMI that are much beefier than the regular ones. If you do any off-roading then you know all about busting the weaker tie rod ends.

Many folks have reported that the high-heat silicone eventually fails. I used OE mitsubishi gaskets which are not cheap. Other alternative is to make your own gaskets by cutting up a piece of generic gasket sheet material, like the ones included in this kit: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/EGR-BLANKING-PLATE...

On goes the water pump. Straightforward, but watch that you get the correct bolts of the correct grade stamped on the head into the correct hole! See the attached diagram. Just to backtrack and highlight a few details. On the upper balance shaft bushing the chamfered edge faces inwards. Upper balance shaft bushing also can't be reversed in order to reuse it. Chamfered edge must face inwards to allow the oil to circulate.
