Re: 4m40 oil pressure?

I teed off the switch, the threads were all different but I got it figured out eventually! I also had a hose made because the sender is a big 'ol thing and I didn't like the idea of it vibrating on the engine constantly. Seemed like a likely failure one day.

Re: Need a pic of L400 spring spacers!

I don't have sway bar spacers, I do have the brake spacer. From what I've read, the brake valve can be adjusted manually so the spacer isn't needed. Spacing the sway bar linkage is super easy if you want to do it but I don't go through them any faster with that extra stretch. I've had my van loaded ...

Re: Help!! No Front Heat in Winnipeg!!

Oh good. Patience is my specialty. Can't wait 'til I realize I should have been keeping track of all those screws, nuts, bolts, and trim clips when I try to put everything back... For the first time ever, I put screws and trim plugs in ziplock bags and labelled them and taped the bag to the trim pi...

Re: Help!! No Front Heat in Winnipeg!!

Yep, can confirm the heater core is a real bitch. I wouldn't call it difficult, just extremely fiddly. I still haven't put all of my dash trim back on because I was so sick of it. If it turns out to be your heater core I would order new hoses and clamps too (I'll try and find the part number). They ...

Re: L400 heater are re&re advice

Rear heater is fine, it was my primary source of heating the van until I fixed the front. It's not much more heat, I never really had a heat loss though, it just started to leak randomly!

All done! Just waiting for it to heat up to bleed the coolant system... It's taking awhile though.

Stereo harness adapter?

I know this has been addressed on this site but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyone know offhand what the adapting harness is from the stock wiring to a NA market stereo? I remember reading Dodge Raider or something...

Re: L400 heater are re&re advice

Core can be fixed, it's not leaking at the clam oddly enough but at the top of the fins in a few spots. $150 for them to replace it with a new core. Unfortunately they can't get one with fin that's as tight as it is on the stock, but that's better than the $550 I was quoted for a new one!

Re: L400 heater are re&re advice

So driving around with the core gone is super weird. All the noises and hisses and clatter and rattles of the engine coming through the hole in the firewall is.....disconcerting. Speedo is back in and the hazard button (signals don't work without it) but that's it until I get the core back in. After...
