Re: Motor oil analysis and results
We do oil analysis alot on the transit buses, don't get down on only 2 readings you want to watch the trends, mainly watch aluminum, copper, lead, iron. Lots of iron usually indicates gear wear/cylinder wall. Lead/copper indicates main bearing/cam bearing wear. Aluminum can indicate two things first...

Re: What Fuel Additive Do You Use?
Well after chatting with guys at work and reading a ton of threads I will be switching to 2 stroke oil, the proper mix ratio is about 500-600 ml per fill up for 200:1. I do not expect any increase in fuel econmoy, I am strickly looking for longevity and injection system maintenance. Have a great wee...

Re: Squeal from Motor
The belts maybe tight but check and see if they are bottomed out in the pulley if so then they will slip and make alot of noise. Little tip for a glazed belt take some 120 grit sand paper and scuff the sides of the belt then bar over the motor and continue scuffing. Giving the pulley a slight scuff ...

Re: fuel system leak
We got to talking and a buddy mentioned hearing about using 2 stroke oil at a 200:1 mix. Looked it up and it sounds like alot of people are are starting to do this, alot cheaper and gaurantied lubrication. I am going to do more research and chime back in.

What Fuel Additive Do You Use?

alternator
Hello guys/gals I have noticed during my night drives as I pull up to a stop my batt light, fuel filter light, and A/T light glow just ever so slight. If I raise the idle it goes out. I tested the battery, ok, then measured the voltage at the battery and at idle it is at 12.5v which is a volt low, b...

Re: freaking bloody oilleak
Something to check is if you replace seals and they seam to leak again make sure you pcv valve or hose is not plugged this will pressurize the crankcase and cause alot of greif. Also when I do engine seals at work I use a small piece of white scotch brite soaked in oil and polish the seal surface an...
