Re: What Fuel Additive Do You Use?

OK, adding a clean oil to your fuel in hopes that it will be of some benefit is one thing, (not convinced) but adding used engine oil to a fuel system, thinking you are doing something good for your engine? The oil was judged too dirty to remain in the crankcase (that's why you changed it) so now i...

Re: Motor oil analysis and results

This is another rumor. The price for a Trabold Fine-Filtration System size 10 (up to 12 ltr./3.24 gal. oil volume) is US$379.95 plus US$15 for the installation kit. This is still $150 more than a Frantz filter. The Filter Cartridges size 10 come in a double pack and cost US$43.98/pck. Hmmmm, $21.99...

Re: Motor oil analysis and results

Hey I do like the idea of a by pass filter but your product is almost $600 where a frantz or amsoil is only $250, why do you believe your product is worth the extra money?

Re: Removal of interior to access crystal lite roof

In the future for filling the hole if you don't weld them you want to use short strand fiberglass filler has much more structure to it and then top coat it with zinc based primer then then rust proof paint.

Just an idea

Re: Installed EGR Blanking Plate - Sputtering - UPDATE - FIX

You can just unplug the vaccum line of the EGR and plug it but mine was this way and it was not sealed enough, so when I did the block off plates there was carbon inside the intake manifold. So your best bet is to do the proper block off

And then you can put I your EGT probe

Re: Power Window is Kaput (sp?) - Wiring or Motor?

Could be motor or could be couple of problems first I would test the switch with a 12v light plug it inline and cycle the switch if light works every time with out delay then I would eleminate the switch. Next I would lube and check movement of the window regulator Next check to make sure the motor ...

Very quick tip for battery condition Put a volt meter across the battery terminals read voltage of just the battery should be about 12.5v turn on ignition and watch volt meter after glow plug cycles it should be no lower than 11.3-11.5v. Re: Motor oil analysis and results

The way an engine removes moisture from oil is by coming up to proper operating temperature and then expelling it out the breather. As I said before I believe it is a good addition to an engine filtration system where we part ways but Amsoil and a few other bypass system makers agree with my thought...

Re: I need help with my TPS

A TPS in this case is used to tell the transmission what position the throttle is at. In new generation vehicles it is actually part of the engine control and the TPS signal is sent out on a can bus to the trans control modual. These older units still have mechanicly controlled throttles but the tra...

Re: Motor oil analysis and results

That's easy anything larger than 10 microns in caught by the standard filter first this will plug it over time, then allowing unfiltered oil past into the bearings. The fact the standard filter filters all oil first before it reaches the bearings where as the trabold filters only part of the oil and...

Re: Motor oil analysis and results

The standard filter (10-20microns) stays. It has no purpose anymore, but should be exchanged after 2-3 years to prevent seal leakage. This phrase is completely wrong if they are taking oil from a high pressure source then it is after the stock filter. The problem with leaving this filter is it will ...
